Alexandria Miller is a historian, writer, and multimedia documentarian who is passionate about capturing Caribbean stories. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Africana Studies at Brown University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree with distinction in African & African American Studies and History from Duke University, where she served on the Student Project Team of the SNCC Digital Gateway Project. Alexandria’s scholarly interests encapsulate Caribbean history, women’s history, Black culture, and entrepreneurship.

Alexandria is the founder and host of podcast and digital education platform Strictly Facts: A Guide to Caribbean History and Culture. Launched in 2021 and produced by Breadfruit Media, Strictly Facts explores the rich tapestry of Caribbean stories told through the eyes of its people while empowering, elevating, and unifying the region, its various cultures, and its global reach beyond borders. 

Outside of academia, Alexandria also serves as a member of The Beautiful Collective with The Beautiful Project. In 2020, their work, Pen, Lens & Soul: The Story of The Beautiful Project was exhibited as part of the Collaborative for Creative Practice and Social Justice at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

She was formerly the US Editor of BASHY Magazine, a quarterly digital and print publication on Jamaica and its diaspora, and was selected as one of the 30 Under 30 Caribbean American Emerging Leaders by the Institute of Caribbean Studies in 2018.
